No. In Hallo Nederland! and Ik lees al! the English is right under the Dutch, so you can always follow along. Slim op school is mostly in Dutch, like real school. Your child taps a dotted word to see it in English.
My child starts at a Dutch school soon. Will this help?+
Yes. Your child learns the words they hear at school from day one, like de juf, de kring and opruimen. Start with Hallo Nederland! (4 to 6) or Ik lees al! (6 to 9).
My child speaks Dutch, but reading is behind. Which course?+
Slim op school, for 9 to 12. It trains reading comprehension and the words teachers use in every subject. Still learning to read? Then Ik lees al! is the one.
How long do we have access?+
For life. Pay once and go back to any lesson, song or story whenever you like.
What if my child doesn’t like it?+
Start with the free trial lesson. Your child will show you in a few minutes if it clicks.
Does my child need me next to them?+
No. I explain every step out loud, so your child can do the lessons on their own. The youngest ones like having you nearby at the start. Joining in is always a bonus, never a must.
Which course fits my child?+
Hallo Nederland! is for 4 to 6 (a 3 year old can join with you). Ik lees al! is for 6 to 9, when kids learn to read. Slim op school is for 9 to 12. Not sure? Start with the free lesson.
How long is a lesson?+
Hallo Nederland!: 10 minutes. Ik lees al!: 15 minutes. Slim op school: 20 minutes. Short enough for every day.
What is the investment?+
€297 per course, once, with lifetime access. Live 1:1 Dutch lessons for kids often cost €500 or more for 12 short lessons.
